The Prestige

I just finished watching this movie, and I highly recommend it to anyone. The acting in it was superb, and it had a very suspenseful storyline. However, I do also suggest that, if you do watch it, pause at times and just refresh yourself on the characters. It is definetly a bit confusing at times.

I really wanted to go through this whole thing on revenge and such. However, I don't want to ruin the storyline for any of you. So, I will just say watch it. It is good, and I shall write and actual insistful post again later.

Free Gas

I just browsed over the Yahoo featured articles today, as usual, and I happened to come upon something new, but not entirely surprising. It seems that many companies are going to give away free gas in order to get you to buy at their store, go to their hotel, or whatever.

It seems pretty fascinating to me how this is going to work more than most money offers. The average person is going to look at this offer and see "Free Gas". Immediately after, they will think, "I need that," and then proceed to do whatever they need to in order to obtain such an offer.

However, if one really does think about it, if I gave you a slogan to say "Free 5 dollars", that could very well mean the same thing as "Free Gas". Now, I am not going to bash these slogans because myself, just like every other average person in the US right now, really does not like this predicted $4 a gallon that should be coming up. However, I hope this will get you thinking that there may be a better offer out there that will give you "Free Gas" that isn't exactly labeled that way.

First Day of Summer

So, I offically ended school.. yesterday, and I was amazingly able to sleep in today until 11:09. Going to work was a bore, as usual, but, hey, at least I will not be working there the rest of my life.
What I have realized from today is the beauty of incentives. You see. Today at work our boss for the day basically told everyone if we can get speedy service and clean our areas before 8 o' clock, she will give us all 10 dollars. I just find it amazing of how human everyone seems to be. We did make it, and we did all get $10. However, if we haven't had the "incentitive", would we still have enough self control and sense of responsibility to finish the task at hand because we need to or we know that it has to be done?
